Cloud-native application platform · built in Europe

Ship apps, not infrastructure.

Hyperscaler-grade developer experience on open Kubernetes you can’t get locked out of. Build microservices, APIs, and databases the modern way — in-browser IDE, GitOps, CI/CD, an app marketplace, and an MCP endpoint on every app — EU-owned and renewable-powered.

Free during Alpha — 10 vCPU and 32 GB RAM to build with.

Developer experience

Everything you need to build, ship, and run apps — shown in the real console.

App marketplace

Deploy databases, queues, and popular open-source apps in one click — or publish your own templates and reuse them anywhere.

GitOps workflows

Git is your source of truth. Every change is declarative, versioned, and auditable — roll forward or back with a commit.

CI/CD pipelines

Kubernetes-native Tekton pipelines — source-to-image builds, an integrated registry, no central CI server to babysit.

Seamless infra for apps

Managed control plane, autoscaling, managed databases, caching, storage, monitoring and logging — wired up, not your problem.

AI-assisted development

Every app you deploy gets an MCP endpoint by default, so your AI tools can read, reason about, and ship to your app out of the box.

Open-standard Kubernetes

100% Kubernetes-compatible, pure open source — nothing proprietary to learn or get trapped by. Pick up your specs and leave anytime.

Web server

Apache HTTP

Serve static websites and content with the battle-tested Apache HTTP Server.

Web
Runtime

Node.js

Build and run server-side JavaScript apps with source-to-image builds.

Web
Database

MySQL

A managed MySQL database with persistent storage, ready in a click.

Web
Database

PostgreSQL

A managed PostgreSQL database with persistent storage, ready in a click.

Web
Collaboration

Nextcloud

Self-hosted file sync & share, calendar and office — your data, your cloud.

Web
DevOps / SCM

GitLab

A complete DevOps platform — Git hosting, CI/CD, registry and issues.

Web

Kubernetes-native CI/CD — pipelines that run as pods, no central server.

Web
Identity / SSO

Keycloak

Identity & access management — SSO, OIDC/SAML, federation and social login.

Web

Deploy links target the OpenShift console URL patterns — verify template/operator names against your cluster before going live.

In-browser IDE

Code in the cloud, not on your laptop.

OpenShift Dev Spaces gives every developer an on-demand, fully configured workspace that runs inside the cluster — no pure-PaaS competitor offers this.

  • Spin up a ready environment in ~2 minutes — just a browser, zero local setup.
  • Every workspace is defined as code (devfile) — identical for the whole team.
  • Your source code never leaves the EU-hosted cluster.
  • Choose VS Code or JetBrains IntelliJ IDEA, in the browser.

GitLab — your team’s paved road

Managed GitLab, Tekton pipelines, and Argo CD GitOps, wired together.

GitLab repo

Hosted Git, merge requests & code review

Tekton pipeline

Review app

Argo CD GitOps

Merge → Argo reconciles the cluster to Git

It’s all managed for you — the container registry, the pipeline runners, the per-merge preview environments, and the GitOps controller. No CI server to run, no glue to maintain.

Self-service developer portal

One front door for your whole platform — optional.

Add a developer portal built on the open-source Backstage project on top of your AppDev environment. Run your apps with or without it.

  • Golden paths — launch new, pre-approved services in minutes, with GDPR-compliant EU defaults baked in.
  • One software catalog — every service, owner and doc in a single place. Less hunting, less cognitive load.
  • Faster onboarding — new developers get productive sooner; docs live next to the code.

Built on the open-source Backstage project (CNCF). Not affiliated with or endorsed by Red Hat.

Why GRN.CLOUD

An enterprise platform, right-sized for builders.

Modern architectures

Microservices, serverless, and event-driven patterns — first-class on Kubernetes/OpenShift.

Your stack, your tools

Any language and runtime on open standards — no proprietary lock-in to learn.

Less ops, lower cost

Managed control plane and transparent pay-as-you-go — skip cluster babysitting and surprise bills.

Sovereign & sustainable

EU-owned and GDPR-compliant by default, on 100% renewable energy — the wedge hyperscalers can’t match.

Green & sovereign

Without the premium — and without the greenwashing.

Sovereign by ownership

EU-owned infrastructure under Dutch jurisdiction — not a US hyperscaler’s “European region.” No US Cloud Act exposure; GDPR DPA as standard.

Renewable by default

Runs on 100% renewable solar energy, with server heat reused to warm nearby greenhouses and buildings.

Open by design

100% Kubernetes-compatible and portable. Pick up your specs and templates and leave anytime — independence is the standard we build on.

Before you ship

The questions a sceptical engineer asks — answered honestly.

Is your managed Kubernetes as mature as the hyperscalers’ or a PaaS?

It’s the same standard — 100% Kubernetes-compatible with OpenShift under the hood, the same open-source primitives EKS, AKS, GKE and ROSA run on. Nothing proprietary to “catch up” on; we add the seamless loop (Dev Spaces, GitLab, Tekton, GitOps, MCP) and named senior engineers.

Will I get locked in?

No. Open Kubernetes/OpenShift plus GitOps is portable — pick up your specs and templates and run them on any Kubernetes. Pure PaaS platforms are proprietary, and the EU Data Act now mandates switching support.

Is the sovereignty real, or “sovereignty-washing”?

Genuinely EU-owned infrastructure under Dutch jurisdiction — not a US hyperscaler’s “European region,” which stays subject to the US Cloud Act regardless of where the data sits.

PaaS is simpler and cheaper to start. Why you?

You get the same git-push simplicity and a real free tier, but on open standards — so you grow past the PaaS scaling and compliance cliff without re-platforming.

What does the free tier include?

During Alpha you get 10 vCPU and 32 GB of memory free. After Alpha the free tier becomes 1 vCPU and 2 GB for a full year — and the larger tier continues for qualifying startup-accelerator programs. Talk to sales to see if you qualify.
